For small to medium size decal stickers, we recommend using the dry method. The dry method is quick and simple. For large size decal stickers, we recommend using the wet method. The wet method uses a soapy solution to make installation easier and eliminate air bubbles under the vinyl.

For optimum result, decal stickers should be installed in a shaded area and not under direct sun light with surface temperature above 50F and below 90F. When washing your car, wash gently over your decal to prevent accidental peeling. When you receive your decal, apply pressure evenly on the transfer tape side with squeegee or plastic card. This will ensure the vinyl decal stays on the transfer tape and does not separate along with the backing paper during installation. If your decal comes in a roll, allow the decal to uncoil for half an hour or so before applying pressure to the decal.

Decal Installation Guide: Small to Medium Size Stickers

Step 4
Let decal sit for a few minutes*, then gently remove transfer tape by pulling it straight back, leaving the graphic on the surface. If you notice any air bubbles, use a pin and poke a tiny hole. Then squeeze the air bubble out by using your thumb or squeegee. Let decal sit for 24 hours before washing your car. You can still drive your car and the decal will not fly off.

* For summer months when temperature is above 80F. Depending on the seasonal temperature, you may need to leave it longer (15 minutes to overnight during the winter). During cold weather, you can apply low heat to the decal with a hair blower to increase the adhesion of vinyl to surface. Most of decal stickers come with clear transfer tape. It is a higher tack transfer film so more time is needed for the vinyl to adhere to the surface before removing the transfer film.

Step 6
Depending on the outside temperature, wait for about 1 hour. After the decal has dried, GENTLY remove application tape by pulling it straight back at about a 30 degree angle, leaving the decal on the surface. DO NOT pull up on the transfer tape. This can cause the decal to lift up. If decal comes off with transfer tape, repeat step 5 and wait for another hour before attempting to remove transfer tape again. If you notice any air bubbles, use a pin and poke a tiny hole. Then squeeze the air bubble out by using your thumb or squeegee.

Step 3
Peel off the backing paper slowly exposing the adhesive side. Spray application fluid onto the adhesive side as you remove the backing paper. This will ensure you have a clean fit when you cut your vinyl with a razor.
